Our history
25 years of LIDE. A new chapter in Angola.
Present on five continents and with more than two dozen areas of activity, LIDE — Grupo de Líderes Empresariais operates regional and international units, with the purpose of strengthening business leadership in building an ethical, just, developed and globally competitive society.
In 2026, as LIDE celebrates 25 years of history, its Angolan unit was announced on January 31 and officially launched in Luanda on August 12. That heritage belongs to the global group; the institutional presence in Angola is now beginning its own chapter.
Angola today presents itself as one of the most promising economies in Sub-Saharan Africa, combining an abundance of natural resources with an evolving business environment and growing openness to foreign investment. With vast oil and gas reserves, alongside significant potential in mining, agriculture and renewable energy, the country has advanced a consistent agenda of economic diversification and structural reform.

Leadership in Angola
Venceslau Andrade
Head of LIDE Southern Africa and president of LIDE Angola and LIDE Mozambique
Angolan entrepreneur and business leader, jurist, author, and university professor. He is chairman of Grupo Facul and head of LIDE Southern Africa, alongside the presidencies of LIDE Angola and LIDE Mozambique.
In September 2026, LIDE announced Venceslau Andrade as head of LIDE Southern Africa and president of LIDE Mozambique, alongside his presidency of LIDE Angola.
